Russell J. Green, M.S., M.D., C.I.M.E., OWNER

Dr. Russell Green, the founder of Work Health Solutions (WHS), has focused on occupational medicine since 1991. But his interest in biomechanics and ergonomics can be traced back to his days as an electrical engineering student at Southern Methodist University, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He went on to attend the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. After spending more than a decade as a board-certified family physician in New Zealand, Dr. Green returned to the United States (along with his family) to dedicate himself exclusively to occupational healthcare. His extensive background as a general practitioner, along with his certification in occupational medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, made him especially valuable within the medical community. This expertise resulted in his appointment as the Director of Occupational Medicine for healthcare facilities in Joplin, Mo., and Tulsa, Okla.

Outside of the medical community, WHS is valued not only for its expertise, but also for its integrity. WHS is one of the most widely respected clinics in Oklahoma when it comes to performing independent medical evaluations (IMEs). In occupational medicine, there are sometimes disputes between an employee’s (or attorney’s) preferred doctor and an employer’s (or company) doctor. When such disputes occur, regulators seek out trusted members of the medical community to perform impartial IMEs. Judges routinely turn to WHS for guidance in these matters because no occupational healthcare clinic in the state has a better record of explaining complex medical matters in terms that are clear, compassionate and conscientious. Since opening in 2006, WHS has provided hundreds of IMEs, consistently demonstrating that our interest is not in helping either side win a dispute, but simply in providing the best possible diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care for injured workers.

Carissa M. Hines, MHS, PA-C – PROVIDER

Born in Tulsa, Okla., Carissa Hines moved to Colorado when she was 8 years old. She graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1999 and joined the United States Navy. She spent seven years on active duty as a Hospital Corpsman (the majority of her service as a medic at Camp Pendleton, Calif.) She enjoyed spending much of her spare time attending and teaching BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, PHTLS and EMT School with Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton’s Education and Training Department before she was honorably discharged in 2006. She then attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Penn., where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology-Pre-Med, and a minor in Chemistry. She was a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Society, as well as Alpha Chi Sigma Professional Chemistry Fraternity. After graduation, Hines moved back to her home town of Tulsa, and she was accepted to the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine’s Physician Assistant program. She graduated in 2013 with a specialized Master of Health Science degree. She then obtained her National Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and her state license to practice medicine from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. She currently lives in Tulsa, and she joined Work Health Solutions in 2016 as a health-care provider.

What is a Certified PA? Certified PAs are licensed and certified health-care professionals who practice medicine in partnership with doctors and bring a breadth of knowledge and skills to patient care. Certified PAs are held to the same standard of care expected from doctors. Doctors who bring certified PAs onto their team, trust them with the most important thing in their practice – your care. (A more detailed description can be found on the NCCPA website.) She is committed to providing the care and attention you need and deserve when you need it.

Jeremy Green – Owner and Director of Marketing

Jeremy Green is one of the owners and Director of Marketing at Work Health Solutions. Green became involved with Work Health Solutions during the fourth quarter of 2012. In addition to his work with WHS, he is the owner of several other businesses. He has a great passion for the work WHS does and the employees, companies and communities it supports.

Green comes from a physical therapy and personal training background. His father, Russell Green, started WHS, and he has been involved in some capacity since the beginning. Green’s role at WHS is to educate people on risk management strategies and help them design cost-effective and efficient plans that reduce the total cost of occupational medicine.

Green lives in Claremore with his wife and two boys, who are 3.5 years and 3 months (as of April 2016).

Kala Gaydos, APRN-CNP – PROVIDER

Kala Gaydos was raised in Skiatook, Okla. After graduating from Skiatook High School, she attended The University of Oklahoma Bachelor of Science in nursing program. In 2009, she graduated with special distinction honors. Gaydos worked as a registered nurse for three years while attending The University of Oklahoma’s Master of Science in nursing program. Upon graduation in 2012, Gaydos moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, where she practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner for two years. Gaydos moved back to the Tulsa area to be closer to family in 2014. She has been with Work Health Solutions since July of 2014, practicing occupational medicine.

While Gaydos enjoys practicing medicine as a family nurse practitioner, her true joys in life are spending time with her family and serving God. She is married to her husband, Michael, who practices as a local optometrist. She has a 2-and-a-half year old daughter named Tinley and a 1-year-old daughter named Taylor.

Kelly Armentrout – Front Desk Manager

Kelly Armentrout was born in Amarillo, Texas, and she graduated from Colorado State University in 2006 with a degree in Social Work. Kelly moved to Tulsa in 2013 with her husband and three kids. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her time volunteering at her kids school and spending quality time with her family and friends . However, her pride and joy, is her 8-year-old Catahoula mix, Cole, also known as “Baby.”

Kelly began working at WHS in August 2014. She assures your first visit will be smooth from start to finish, and she will probably be the first smiling face you see as you walk in to WHS.

Kyle Burton – Owner and Director of On-Site Services

Kyle Burton started his professional career as a firefighter for the city of Collinsville in 1994. He owned and operated a house painting business from 1997-2009. Burton was employed by the city of Broken Arrow as a firefighter/EMT from 1999-2011. In 2011, he retired from the Broken Arrow Fire Department and began working in the occupational medical field. In 2013, Burton was part of the group that started Occupational Screening Associates that has now merged with Work Health Solutions. He is now the Director of On-Site Services for Work Health Solutions. Kyle and his wife, Lisa, reside in Skiatook with their two children.

Dana Horvath, L.P.N. – ON-SITE OCCUPATIONAL NURSE

Born in Kansas City, Mo., Dana Horvath and her family moved from Benton, Ark., to Oklahoma in 1997. She and her husband, Eric, have been married for 22 years and have four children ranging in ages from 10 years to 21 years. They live in Talala, Okla., on an acreage with several horses. In her spare time, Dana enjoys photography and spending time with her family. Dana graduated with honors from Platt College in 2007 with a degree in nursing. She joined Work Health Solutions in 2010. Her position with Work Health Solutions is at the Whirlpool plant as their on-site company occupational health nurse.

Amie Hocutt – Front desk representative

Amie Hocutt was born in Maybank, Texas, and she moved to Sand Springs, Okla., with her mom and dad when she was 3 years old. She is the eldest child of four, with two sisters and a brother. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her kids and her family. Her favorite season is summer, as her entire family spends their days in the pool. She is a 2001 Charles Page High School graduate, and she has a license in Cosmetology.

Amie is part of Work Health Solution’s front office team, and her No. 1 job is to make sure everyone remembers her glowing smile while checking out and getting quick thorough answers when someone calls.

Liliana Colin – Office and Billing Manager

Liliana Colin, who most often goes by Lily, is the billing manager at Work Health Solutions. She was raised in Los Angeles, Cali., and moved to Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 15. Colin graduated from East Central High School in 2005. Lily has a 7-year-old son. As the billing manager for Work Health Solutions, her primary role is to oversee and streamline effective billing and collection processes within the company. Although her main task is billing, she helps with several other tasks in the clinic. Colin is also a certified drug and alcohol collector, and she works at the front desk when needed.

Candace Stretch – MA

Candace Stretch was born and raised in Sand Springs, Okla., and she and her husband have a daughter and two sons. She attended Brown Mackie College in Tulsa where she received an associate’s degree in applied science as a medical assistant. Stretch then went on to take the American Medical Technology test and is now a registered medical assistant. Stretch has worked in occupational medicine since July 2016.

Joe Caldwell – MA/MRO assistant

Joe Caldwell was born in Pryor, Okla., and he was raised in Locust Grove, Okla.. He worked for three years as an EMT before joining the Marine Corps where he was later honorably discharged. After leaving the USMC, he worked in the funeral business and graduated with academic honors as the class vice-president of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He worked in funeral homes in Okmulgee, Oklahoma City, Enid and Mayes County before becaming co-owner and founder of Locust Grove Funeral Home. During this time, he served as president of the Lake Hudson Association, vice-president of the Locust Grove Chamber of Commerce and was on the Board of Directors of the United Way in Pryor, Okla. After leaving the funeral business, Caldwell worked for Rainbow Concrete in Tulsa for five years as a dispatcher and truck driver and served as a city councilman for Locus Grove. Then, after graduating from the Oklahoma Health Academy, he began working as a medical assistant and phlebotomist at the Broken Arrow Urgent Care. He joined Work Health Solutions in 2017 as a medical assistant, MRO assistant, phlebotomist, and x-ray tech.

When Caldwell isn’t working, he is enjoying his passion for skydiving. He’s logged several thousand jumps and holds Coach, Static Line Instructor, Accelerated Freefall Instructor, and PRO ratings with the United States Parachute Association.

Charles Frank – RN/Spanish translator

Charles Frank is a native Tulsa. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s in Spanish, and he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s in science in nursing. His nursing career includes experience in medical surgical, adult critical care and wellness screening. In addition to Frank’s two bachelor degrees, he earned a workforce development certificate from Tulsa Community College in Spanish and Interpretation and Translation.

Frank joined WorkHealth Solutions in August 2016. In Frank’s spare time, he enjoys traveling and outdoor activities with his wife and their pet dog.

Rebecca Terrill – Front office representative

Rebecca Terrill was born in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  She moved with her family to Tulsa when she was four years old and graduated from Union High School in 1994.  Rebecca is a proud mother of one son, Christian, who is a EMT/Paramedic student. In her spare time Rebecca is an instructor for BLS and Heartsaver.  Rebecca enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, watching sports and going to the movies.

Rebecca is part of WHS front office team. She greets each patient as they arrive for their appointment and checks patients in.

Dayna Walker – RMA

Dayna Walker graduated as a RMA in 1996, and she has worked in orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, family practice, pediatrics and occupational health. She and her husband have five boys and two girls, and they have five grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys motocross, mini-sprint, sprint car racing, hosting concession stands at MX races, and swimming and softball. However, more than anything she enjoys spending time with her family.
